Shoot straight down at the paper, in even light, with the signature filling most of the frame. Avoid shadows. White paper on a darker surface works best. Natural daylight from a window is usually flatter and more even than the harsh overhead lighting of most rooms.
Yes, the model preserves alpha gradients, so light ink strokes survive. If your signature is very pale, retrace it with a darker pen and re-shoot. A medium-tip black gel pen on plain white paper gives the most reliable input for the cleanest looking transparent output.
The signature image stays on your device, we never see it or upload it. As always, treat the resulting PNG itself as sensitive and store it accordingly. Storing it in an encrypted folder or password manager attachment is a reasonable precaution for any digital signature asset.
