Yes, the model is tuned for soft edges and fine hair. Curly and flyaway hair come out cleaner than a manual lasso would. The soft alpha falloff also avoids the harsh halo that a hard-edge mask leaves around the hairline on busy backgrounds.
Frames and lenses are handled well. Strong screen reflections on the lenses occasionally confuse the mask, re-shoot slightly off-axis if that happens. Tilting your head a few degrees away from the light source usually clears up the reflection without changing the framing.
